The leadership of Delhi Salesians spent four days, 20th - 23rd July, focused on their ministry and mission to the young. The Provincial and Council was in joint session with the Rectors, Parish priests, In-charges and Commission Delegates.

Induction Training of MoRD Project in Tamil Nadu

Induction Training for MoRD(Ministry of Rural Development)Project at Tamil Nadu State level was conducted at Deepagam Hall, The Citadel, Chennai from 4th July to 7th July 2010. 25 Trainers participated in this Training of the Trainer (ToT) Program from the state of Tamilnadu (Province of Chennai and Trichy).

DB ARK Volunteers

It was the initiative of Mr. Vivek Kumar Singh, a staff of Don Bosco Animation and Research Kendra (DB ARK), New Delhi, that brought these volunteers together. Fr. Joe Arimpoor, sdb welcomed and congratulated them in taking this step. They were all students of the neighbouring Jamia Millia Islamia University.

BOSCONIANS OF KOKAR SHINE AND LEARN

The DOX (Dorando Old Xaverians) had organized an Inter School Co-Curricular Competition to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of their association. Nineteen prestigious Educational Institutions from various parts of Ranchi and nearby places brought hundreds of their enthusiastic children. The occasion proved to be a golden opportunity for the children of Don Bosco School Kokar to test their skills. It was a thrilling and exciting experience for the Bosco kids.

Fr. Je Arimpoor, sdb, challenged the 120 teachers of Vandana and Christ schools of Guna in M.P. to move from the `Banking system of Education to an A-C-I Pattern (Analytical, Critical and Integrational).

CORPORAL PUNISHMENTS ARE A FUNDAMENTAL BREACH OF HUMAN RIGHTS: OLS SCHOOL, KULLU

Corporal punishment is a major controversial issue and a burning topic. It is so rampant in all parts of the world and there is a strong movement going on against it. O.L.S. School, Kullu, joins the global campaign to end all corporal punishments of children.

Qualities of a Don Bosco Educator, and the Teachers of Auxilium School, Bandel, Kolkata

Don Bosco`s system of education depends very highly on the qualities and skills of the educators. Fr. Joe Arimpoor,sdb from DB ARK,New Delhi, presented 20 qualities that make up a Don Bosco educator. He emphasized on topics like `Presence`, `Relationship`, `Accompaniment`, `Family Spirit of freedom and spontaneity`. Above all, he said, the Spirituality of Salesian educator is the pivotal point on which Don Bosco`s educational system rests. If the student does not realize that God loves her, the educative pastoral project has failed to reach its goal.
