Fr Loddy Pires in his letter to the confreres announced the good news given by the Rector Major Don Pascual Chavez, that Fr. Ian Figueiredo, the present Vice Provincial, will be the next Provincial of the province of Panjim-Konkan (INP) for a term of six years.

Every province has to go through this grind of choosing a Provincial! You may call it an institutional or a religious exercise. Unlike the lay atmosphere of canvassing and manifestos, there has to emerge a leader!

The Salesian confreres of the Panjim-Konkan Province gathered in Don Bosco Sulcorna for four long days (22nd to 25th Feb 2010) to discuss, plan and put down concrete steps on which to work for the next 5 years. This was not just an institutional exercise done once in three years.
