First National Seminar on Youth Development at Sriperumbudur
Hyderabad, Feb 28 Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur, Chennai organized its first national seminar on youth development on 26-27 February 2015. Around 200 participants from across the country and from 15 states participated in it. Besides the academic presentations by around 50 professionals in plenary and parallel sessions, the seminar provided a big opportunity to students from different universities and Colleges to interact and exchange ideas with each other. SPCSA General Assembly plans for Don Bosco`s birth Bicentenary
Kolkata, Feb 26 . Hyderabad: The Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia (SPCSA) held its annual General Assembly meeting on 24-25 February, and the SPCSA Council meeting on 26-27 February 2015 at the Salesian Provincial House of Hyderabad. About 40 Salesians from the 12 provinces of the region took part in the two day General Assembly. The participants comprised of the provincial Superiors of all 12 provinces of India and Sri Lanka, and the heads of commissions of the various sectors of apostolate and network groups. South Asia Salesian Provincials and SPCSA Commissions meet in Hyderabd
Kolkata, Feb 26 . Hyderabad: The Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia (SPCSA) met at the twin city of Hyderabad for its annual General Assembly and Provincial Conference Council Meeting, 24-27 February 2015. The meeting was preceded by a day of hectic review and planning sessions for the various regional commissions and Networks of the Salesian apostolate in South Asia on 23 February. Mumbai, Feb 25 The Salesian Provinces of Mumbai and Panjim were proud to witness the diaconate ordination of nine young Salesians at the Sacred Heart Parish Yerwada, Pune on 22 February 2015. Rev. Bishop Thomas Dabre, Bishop of Pune Diocese, ordained Clerics Richard, Roshan, Ashwin, Leon, Dinesh, Austin, Crescens, Kiran and Jason as deacons. Chennai, Feb 22 With deep sense of sorrow, the Salesian Province of Chennai announces the passing away of our dear confrere Fr. Joseph Neendicherry, better known as Fr. N. A. Joseph, at 5.30 a.m. on 22 February at Lourdes Shrine parish, Perambur, Chennai. He was just a month short of 84 years, in the Diamond Jubilee year of his religious profession and Golden Jubilee year of his priestly ordination.
