Mumbai, Sep 01 SYM (Salesian Youth Movement)- Don Bosco Youth Services organized a rural life exposure camp cum outreach trip to Walvanda, Jawahar Tehsil, Thane district for a group of youngsters from August 29-31, 2014. Karunapuram Youth challenge themselves to change at Annual Youth Fest
Hyderabad, Sep 01 As part of its annual progamme, but with the added fervour of the bicentenary celebrations of the birth of Don Bosco, the Salesian community of Don Bosco Philosophate, Karunapuram organised a Youth Fest on August 31, 2014. There were 143 young participants from the neighbouring 11 Parishes who were treated to a rich animation programme on the theme `Youth for Change`, by Fr Benny Joseph sdb, the assistant Youth Director of the Salesian Province of Hyderabad. Guwahati, Sep 01 Archbishop John Moolachira of Guwhati visited Assam Don Bosco University (ADBU) for the Sunday Eucharist with the University community, 31 August 2014. Students and faculty along with University staff participated at the celebration held at the University atrium. Veteran Salesian Fr. Joseph Topno Laid to Rest
Guwahati, Aug 30 The mortal remain of Fr. Joseph Topno (1919-2014) was laid to rest on 29th August in the Tezpur Cathedral Cemetery. The funeral Mass was attended by a large number of priests, religious and lay people. Bp. Akasius Toppo, the bishop of Tezpur presided over the funeral Mass. Bp. Robert Kerketta SDB, the bishop emeritus of Tezpur whom Fr. Joseph served as a secretary for many years was also a concelebrant at the Mass. Fr. Chennai, Aug 29 It has been a year of golden harvest for Don Bosco College, Dharmapuri, Tamilnadu. At the Periyar University exams held in May 2014 the college secured three first ranks and gold medals. M. Manjulla of M.A. English captured the gold medal in English Language and Literature, S.
