Cinema as a political instrument in the Tamil geopolitical arena

Kolkata, Mar. 8. .   Chennai:  Don Bosco College of Art and Design (DBCAD) organized its Annual Symposium on ``Cinema as the Political Instrument in the Tamil Geopolitical Arena``, commemorating the 100 years of Indian Cinema, on Friday 7th March 2014. Renowned Media Critics Mr.  K.Hariharan, Director, L.V. Prasad Film & TV Academy and Mr. Sananda Menon the Adjunct Faculty at the Asian College of Journalism, Chennai, and at the Humanities Department of the IIT, Madras were the chief speakers.

Absolutely topical and timely treatment of the subject... It could not have been timed any better! I wish, the idea could have been implemented as a "multi-city project" with a slight alteration to the title, by national communications bodies like SIGNIS or BOSCOM !
