A False Report

By College Reporter
Dimapur, Aug. 19. Maram 19 August 2010: The alarming news of food poisoning of the hostel girls of St. Monica and Assissi is found to be false. This news was broad cast by All India Radio Shillong, local dailies, NDTV 24x7 and Dooradharsan.
On enquiring about the sourse of such news, the College authorities found that the news leaked from the 5 Assam Rifles of Maram. It  must be noted that a few girls were taken to Army hospital as there are no good primary health centres in Maram, for check up and treatment. They were suffering from stomach upset and headache. A total of 8 girls were admitted to the hospital for further check up and treamtment. There was no room for such an alarming news.

On receiving such news the Principal, Rector and wardens of two college hostels rushed to the Army Quarters for enquiry. They were very apologetic and promised every help to control the damage. While thanking the Army personel for their valuable help, they were also informed about the anxciety created among the people due to false information.
