Motivation cum Techno and Science Expo for Students
Tiruchy, Aug. 25. The young people in the rural setup lack motivation in their studies and scientific thinking as they do not get much exposure and opportunities. Equipping them would mean empowering the whole nation. Hence, the Pastor Lenssen Polytechnic College, (A Don Bosco Institution) Kuthenkuly, organized a day of Motivational seminar along with a technical and science exhibition for the 10th STD students of the locality.

On, 22nd August 2017, at 9.45am the first batch of students arrived in our campus. The students were taken to the Centenary Auditorium and the programme started at. 10 am.

Father Casimir Raj, the Rector and Correspondent of the College welcomed every one warmly. Mr. Jeyaraj, the District Educational Officer and Chief Guest, spoke in the inaugural function. He encouraged the students to achieve great heights in their life and appreciated our effort in organising the seminar and exhibition for a noble cause of improving the intellectual life of the rural children.

The students had their Motivation seminar in the same place.  Mrs Thamilarasi M.Sc., M.A., B.Ed., M.Phil., the retired P.G. Asst., St. Joseph's Girls Hr. Sec. School Trichy, the motivational speaker was the resource person. She has been in teaching field for more than 30 years. She brought along with her Miss Jency Remima M.E.,Konkunadu Engineering College, Trichy, her model student. Miss Jency is a versatile personality who is gifted in studies (university rank holder) and in sports (won national medals in boxing and high jump). The Seminar was on the topic padipomjeyipom. The students were given motivation and study tips, memory tips etc. Their speeches were sources of inspiration for all the students. At the end of the seminar, the students were enthused and resolved to do better in their studies and in other extra-curricular activities.

Next the students moved to visit he exhibition. The Diploma in Civil Engineering (DCE), Electronic Communication Engineering(DECE), Electrical Electronic Engineering (DEEE) and Mechanical Engineering (DME) students of PLP college had exhibited their creative innovations which struck the visitors with awe. Each one came out with something novel pirating to their field. The project were simple creative and useful in practical life. The school students who vested it felt the event very informative and educative. 1360 Young people from 13 schools from the locality participated in the 'MOTIVATION CUM TECHNO AND SCIENCE EXPO'.
