Tiruchy, Oct. 21. A group of 100 youngsters gathered at DB Media, Manikandam, Tiruchy on 20 October, to put into action the Prime Minister's 'Swachh Bharat' (Clean India) mission in Tiruchy.
The youth animation department of the Salesian Province of Tiruchy, under the leadership of the Youth Director Fr. Casimir Raj SDB, formed and motivated young people to join the Clean India National Campaign known as ''Swachh Bharat'' promoted by the Prime Minister.

Fr. Casimir is combining the national mission with Don Bosco Eco Clubs Movement, Tiruchy in proposing a 'Swachh Aur Hara Bharat'  ('a clean and green India'). The movement is gaining momentum in the rural regions of Tiruchy.

The 100 youngsters have joined hands to carry out the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in their villages, public spaces like places of worship, education institutions, transport vehicles etc.

The group also vows to turn India green by avoiding plastics and ''adopting'' saplings. The youngsters have organized themselves into eight small groups. They are ready to take up the challenge to create a 'Clean and Green India'.
