ART AIDS a charity show in aid of children infected and affected with HIV/AIDS. The show with conglomeration of 10 artists is also raise awareness and attention of people towards children living with HIV/AIDS. The show is organized for People AIDS Initiative in association with Apparoa Art Galleries, INBOX 1305 and alaihalMEDIA. The 10 artists include Trotsky Marudu, S. Mark Rathinaraj, K. R. Santhana Krishnan, George K, N. Ramachandran, Farhan Mujib, P.G. Dinesh, Nilofer seth Siddharth, Bhavna Sonawane, P. Suresh Kumar. The artists are nationally acclaimed. The art works are sold as Originals, print on Canvas and print on Board. Other forms of art works shall also be in the market at various times. The artists have generously donated upto six works and some of them even more. The line up is praised as 'diversity of visual language which makes it visually exciting and offers textural interest' writes Ashrafi S. Bhagat the renowned Art Historian. She also termed the entire series as Commanding Strokes. A grand launch was planned for Saturday, 4th December 2010 at Sheraton Park Hotel & Towers, Chennai. Another mega launch at Muse Art Gallery, Marriott, Hyderabad on 10th December. The exhibitions shall be held in various cities in association with prominent art galleries along with Apparoa Art Galleries. Exhibition cities are Hyderabad: 11th - 17th December 2010 (Muse Art Gallery - Marriott) New Delhi: 25th - 30th January 2011 (Apparao Galleries), Chennai: 27th January - 02nd February 2011 (Apparao Galleries), Bangalore: 31st January - 03rd February 2011 (Apparao Galleries). Shows also have been planned in Mumbai and other cities in India as well as abroad. ART AIDS exhibitions shall go on for two years to create awareness and to raise funds for children affected and infected with HIV/AIDS. The event is organized by People AIDS Initiative and the brands associated along with 'alaihal MEDIA' are Apparao Galleries, INBOX 1305, Sheraton Park Hotel & Towers, Marriott, Muse Art Gallery, U.S. Consulate, Hyderabad, Sula Wines, Land Mark, The Silk Route, OV Creators, Niyati Technologies. Many more corporate brands and individuals are on the cards to promote the cause and to organize the event and exhibitions in many cities in India and Overseas. The initiative is conceptualized and executed under the leadership of Ms. Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi and Fr. A. Raj sdb with the help of numerous individuals and companies. ART AIDS in the exclusive limited edition series commissioned just for the cause children. Affordable prints are made from the original for people to buy especially hand-signed and numbered by contributing artists themselves.
