Two books on Youth Development launched by Father Angel Fernandez, Rector Major

Mumbai, Mar. 2. Two books published by Don Bosco Youth Animation Centre, Delhi was launched by Father Angel Fernandez, Rector Major of the Salesian Congregation during the Team Visit 2017 at Don Bosco Provincial House, Chennai  on 1st March, 2017 .  
The two books launched were ''Emerging Trends in Youth Development: Best Practices and Empirical Inferences'' Edited by: Dr. J. Henry Rozario and Dr. Maria Charles SDB, published by Don Bosco Youth Animation, South Asia, New Delhi ''Youth Development Models in Developing Countries'' Edited by: Dr. J. Henry Rozario and Dr. Maria Charles SDB and Dr. K. Arockiaraj, published by Don Bosco Youth Animation, South Asia, New Delhi.

The book ''Emerging Trends in Youth Development: Best Practices and Empirical Inferences'' edited by: Dr. J. Henry Rozario and Dr. Maria Charles SDB, published by Don Bosco Youth Animation, South Asia, New Delhi.  The book on Emerging Trends in Youth Development presents 25 papers which have been selected from 58 research papers presented by scholars during the recently held at International Conference on 20th and 21st January 2017 on the theme ''Emerging Trends in Youth Development: Best Practices and Empirical Inferences'' at Sacred Heart College Tirupattur. The book speaks about positive youth development concepts to evolve appropriate strategies and plans which could help alter substantially the lives of young people especially the poor and marginalised. This book is meant for Youth workers and animators who are looking for ideas and strategies on youth development in the South Asian context. The book has been edited by Dr. J. Henry Rozario, Associate Professor and Head, Post graduate and Research department of Social Work, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur and by Dr. Maria Charles SDB, Director of Don Bosco Youth Animation, South Asia.  The Rector Major presented the first copy of the book to Father Fabio Attard, General Councillor for Youth Ministry and the second copy was presented to Father Jose Mathew, Provincial in-charge of All India Don Bosco Education Society.


The book ''Youth Development Models in Developing Countries'' edited by: Dr. J. Henry Rozario and Dr. Maria Charles SDB and Dr. K. Arockiaraj, published by Don Bosco Youth Animation, South Asia, New Delhi.  The book on ''Models of Youth Development in Developing Countries presents twelve successful innovative and sustainable models in working with the young. Out of these twelve models on Youth Development, three models have been chosen from Salesian Youth Ministry in South Asia. These are  models of Youth Development which have worked successfully among the young in developing countries in shaping their destiny. This book has the keynote adderess of Dr. Jim Campbell from Social Work Unversity College, Dublin Ireland and Dr. Sevasti Melissa Nolas from University of Sussex, UK. This book has been edited by Dr. J. Henry Rozario, Associate Professor and Head, Post graduate and Research department of Social Work, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur and by Dr. Maria Charles SDB, Director of Don Bosco Youth Animation, South Asia and Dr. K. Arockiaraj, Assistant Professor, Post graduate and Research department of Social Work, Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur.  The Rector Major presented the first copy of the book to Father Francesco Cereda, Vicar of the Rector Major and the second copy presented to  Father George Maliekal, Provincial in-charge of Don  Bosco Youth Animation, South Asia.
