After the simple blessing, cutting of the ribbon and unveiling the plaque at the new building, the Holy Mass commenced in the same place.  During the Mass, the Vicar General expressed his great joy and appreciation for the work being done by the Salesians of Don Bosco in the archdiocese of Visakhapatnam.  Addressing the students he recommended that they learn about life and living and not merely subjects - a point he reiterated later during the cultural programme.

Fr Provincial, in his address to the gathering recalled the dream of Don Bosco wherein he was given a teacher and guide in the person of Mother Mary by Jesus Himself. He expressed his joy at the turn of events in Peddaboddepalli leading to this joyful growth and expansion, in spite of initial fears and anxieties on several fronts.  He greatly appreciated the efforts of Fr Madanu Rayappa for this.  Mr Mallaiah, the contractor and Mr Showry, who helped much obtaining the necessary permissions for the college were specially felicitated on the dias. The local Parish Priest, representatives from the Province and the extended community at Kondadaba, Visakhapatnam and Muniguda, Salesian Sisters from Eleswaram and several Priests and religious of the archdiocese were present for this inauguration.

Also during the cultural programme, compered by Br Prashanth, the special invitees were felicitated and the students of the college and neighbouring educational institutions performed dances on various themes.  The new website of the institution too was launched on this occasion. Trophies for various inter-institute competitions held during the academic were given out to the respective winners and a couple of professors specially honoured for their dedicated service to the rather new institution.

Don Bosco Mission, Peddaboddepalli (Narsipatnam) is relatively a new venture with a long history.  The place was allocated in 2006 and since then has been taking roots in the present location.  At present there is a full fledged Junior College and the Degree college in its initial years.  It was in March 2010 that the foundation stone for the newly inaugurated building was laid by Fr Balaraju, the Provincial.
