The program, available to Class XII Arts students who have passed their exams with a simple pass, will offer 50 seats initially. The Classes would be held from Monday to Saturday, from 4.30 pm to 6.30pm daily. Preference will be given to candidates who are economically the most deserving, with 30% - 35% marks in Class XII (Arts).

The combination of subjects available to the students initially would be English,  Political Science, History , Philosophy,  Khasi/Alt. English.

The selection of candidates will de done through an interview. The College will also offer financial assistance to the selected candidates in the form of scholarships based on their overall performance through the year, thus opening up to the deserving candidate possibilities of further higher education.

The innovative program also requires that every Student of this course complete at least one vocational trade per year from Don Bosco Technical School, Shillong. This is to ensure that those who pass out of the College are able to take up a skilled job in the market.

It is hoped, the new venture, propelled by the pro-youth philosophy of Don Bosco, would eventually become a lifeline for hundreds of poor youth of the region.
