Bandel -- A Salesian Brother who served as Provincial Secretary to 3 provincials marks his diamond jubilee, 21st October 2018. A confidant of 3 Italian provincials, he was also trained in audiovisual catechesis in 1970s in Italy and France. He was also instrumental in bringing out the first regular and almost monthly Calcutta province newsletter in Salesian India in the early 1970s. Today, out of 269 confreres in Kolkata province, there are 18 Salesian Brothers and leading their list is Br Chacko Kunnathupurayidom - 84 years, the jubilarian.. Read More

Darjeeling -- Salesian College Sonada Sociology department organised Ethnic Day 2018 with an hour-long program consisting of speeches and dances as well as Powerpoint presentations on ethnic groups of Darjeeling, Monday 15 October.
