GC28 Elects Regional Councillors

Mumbai, Mar. 13. The General Chapter 28 of the Salesians of Don Bosco / Society of St. Francis deSales has elected the Regional Councillors.
These are the newly elected Regional Councillors for the term 2020-2026:

Father Alphonse Owoudou for Africa-Madagascar
Born in Ebolowa [Cameroon] on 30 April 1969, Father Owoudou completed his novitiate in Lom�-Togo in 1989-1990; made his final profession on 09 August 1997 in Yaound�-Cameroon and was ordained a priest on 11 July 1999. He was Dean of the Post-Novitiate of Lom� and Dean of the Salesian Institute of Yaound�. He was at the GC28 as the Superior of the Equatorial Tropical Africa Vice-Province [ATE].

Father Hector Gabriel Romero for America South Cone
Born on 10 September 1971 in San Miguel de Tucum�n-Argentina, Father Romero made his 1st profession on 31 January 1991 in La Plata; his final profession on 05 October 1996, and was ordained priest on 11 December 1999 in Cordoba. He was at the GC28 as the Provincial of Argentina-North [ARN].

Father Biju Michael Pulianmackal for South Asia
Father Pulianmackal was born on 20 May 1970 in Idukki-Kerala-India; made his 1st profession on 20 March 1988 in Shillong; his final profession on 24 May 1996 also in Shillong, and was ordained priest on 30 July 2000 in Moolamattam. He was the Dean of the Salesian Theological Studentate 'Ratisbonne' in Jerusalem from 2011-2017. He was at the GC28 as the Delegate of Guwahati [ING].

Father Giuseppe Nguyen Thinh Phuoc for East Asia-Oceania
Father Thinh Phuoc was born on 02 November 1955 in Quang Ngai-Vietna; made his 1st profession on 15 August 1974 in Tram Hanh; his final profession on 15 August 1980 in Dalat, and was ordained priest on 09 September 1995 in Fountain Valley-USA. He was the Provincial Delegate for Formation and was serving at the Mission Department at the Generalate during GC28.

Father Roman Jachimowicz for Central & Northern Europe
Father Jachimowicz was born on 13 November 1967 in Gorz�w Wlkp-Poland; made his 1st profession on 22 August 1987 in Swobnica; his final profession on 31 July 1993 in Rumia, and was ordained priest on 25 May 1995 in Lad. He was at the GC28 as the Provincial of  Poland-Piła [PLN].

Father Hugo Orozco S�nchez for Interamerica
Born on 30 June 1968 in San Luis de Potos�-Mexico, Father S�nchez made his 1st profession on 16 August 1989 in Tlaquepaque;  final profession on 10 September 1995 also in Tlaquepaque, and was ordained priest on 15 March 1997 in San Pedro de Tlaquepaque. He was the Delegate for Youth Ministry and Formation for the MEG Province. He was at the GC28 as the Provincial of Mexico-Guadalajara [MEG].

Father Juan Carlos P�rez Godoy for the Mediterranean
Father P�rez Godoy was born on 05 November 1959 in Burguillos-Spain; made his 1st profession on 08 September 1978; final profession on 15 August 1984, and was ordained priest on 05 June 1987. He had served as the Delegate of Youth Ministry, Vicar, and Provincial in the erstwhile Province of Seville. He was at the GC28 as the Provincial of Spain-St James Major [SSM].
