Shillong, Jul. 23. Shillong: 15 young vibrant clerics of Shillong province participated for the Practical Trainees' meet from 20th to 22nd May 2019. The meeting was held at the Don Bosco Provincial House Mawlai.  Father John Zosiama, the Vice Provincial welcomed the brothers who had come from the different communities of the province. The meeting began with a recollection talk by Father P.J. James and followed by the sacrament of Reconciliation. Speaking about the measure of God's love and quoting from St. Francis de Sales, he said that the measure of God's love is he loves us without measure. Our imperfection leads us to God, only when we keep these three important points:

1 Awareness of one's limitations: Quoted from the book 'Life and Holiness' by John Kristen he said, ''Don't imitate plastered saints but imitate the saints who had gone a life of limitations and a life of sufferings and pains.'' Awareness of their own limitations makes them change in their attitude in the way they see life and in the way they live their lives.
2 Acceptance of one's limitations: Accepting one's limitations and living a life true to oneself and accepting life in its up and downs is a means that leads to holiness. If one claims that he/she is good but in reality he/she is not, it shows that he/she does not accept his/her limitations but lives a life of pretending. ''Don't pretend but be realistic in one's actions and deeds,'' said Fr. James.
3 Surrendering one's limitations: When one surrender his/ her own limitations to God and gives everything for the best in the fulfillment of his/her own duties, then, transformations take place. For transformation comes only when one surrenders.
The morning session of the following day (21st May) began with a power point presentation on the speech by Denzel Washington. Based on the video clips Father P.J. James stressed on the most two important aspect of every Salesian, that is, learning to put God first in everything, and never being afraid of failing. In the afternoon the brothers spent groups sharing about their experiences in different communities. On 22nd of May the meeting was concluded with a half day outing to Bosco Pnar Jowai, and a Basketball match with the students was held. The brothers who attended the meeting thanked the community of Bosco Pnar who welcomed them with open heart and prepared a delicious lunch for them.
