Dr. Thaddeus reminded the members about the payment of IUS subscription by the colleges. He touched upon the governance part of the document prepared by the province. He designated Rev. Dr. Siluvai to be in charge of the Chennai region, Rev. Dr. C. M. Varghese for all the Arts and Science colleges and Rev. Fr. Maria Louis for B. Ed. colleges of the province.

It was felt that the Higher Education Commission must be in line with Jesuit Educational Council. It must be linked to AIACHE, Xavier Board and Minority Consortium. Higher Education commission must be consulted for starting new institutes, departments and closure of any institutes etc. The larger body of Higher Education Board consisting of all the members of the province involved in Higher Education must meet once a year. The general body of the Higher Education Board will meet on the last Saturday of September 2017 and the Higher Education Commission will meet after the Board meeting.  The commission felt that a common induction programme and a master plan for each institute for 5/10 years must be drawn up. It must prepare the college for NAAC accreditation, digital connectivity and others.
