Fr. John Berger, the Novice Master, led the solemn entrance procession with the  novices closely behind.  While introducing the novices to the faithful, Fr. Berger highlighted  the cosmopolitan nature of the group hailing from different parts of the country brining variety and richness to the two  provinces. Fr. Provincial, in his homily, spoke about the place and relevance of consecrated life in the world today, basing himself on Scripture, especially highlighting the unique role Mary occupies in the lives of those consecrated to her Son. Religious profession is the beginning of a journey towards God in the company of fellow pilgrims and as Don Bosco said, `with hearts we walk in heaven and with the feet we walk on the earth.` In the name of the Rector Major, Fr. Provincial received the vows of the newly professed and accepted them into the congregation. The vestition  of the newly professed  followed the profession.

The whole liturgy took place  in a prayerful atmosphere  with melodious singing by the SDB pre-novices and the MSMHC postulants under the able guidance of Fr. Nirmol Gomes. The commentary in English and Hindi by Fr. Eugene Kujur, the Socius, enabled better participation of all present in the liturgical celebration.  At the end of the Mass the newly professed thanked all those, in ways big and small, have helped them to take this decisive step in their life. The whole celebration came to a close at 1.00 pm with a delicious fellowship meal prepared under the able direction of Bro. K.J, Thomas, the Administrator.
