Hyderabad, Apr. 25. The meeting of the Provincial Commissions and their delegates along with the Animation Centre Heads with Rev. This was part of the Extraordinary Visitation programme of the Visitor.  Nearly 30 confreres were present for this crucial meeting.

Fr Maria Arokaim, in his inaugural address, briefed the assembly of the importance of the commissions and animation centres as animating bodies of the province, assisting the Provincial and the province in effective governance.

The day commenced with presentations of the reports of the different commissions and animation centres. Later a deeper reflection was initiated with regard to the efficacy of the commissions/centres and their role in the animation of the province. As a result of the group discussions few proposals emerged for the better functioning of the commissions/centres and their role in the animation of the Province. These proposals would find a place in the action plans of the various commissions and after the approval in the Rectors/Leaders` Meeting to be held in June 2012, they would be disseminated to all the communities. This meeting was indeed a good opportunity to reflect together the functioning of the commissions/centres and respond creatively to the needs of the Province.

In the beginning of the month of March, all the rectors and in-charges of the various communities in the Province were invited for the inauguration of the Visitation.  A meeting of the same group on May 22, 2012 will mark the conclusion of the Visitation.
