Youth Fest: Don Bosco, Ongole

Hyderabad, Feb. 1. Being the International Year of Youth, the Community of Don Bosco-Ongole had celebrated the feast of Don Bosco on 31st January, 2011with the 270 specially invited Catholic Youth of the neighboring villages. With the collaboration of the diocesan youth director they also conducted another youth programme for the catholic youth of the diocese. His Grace, Most Rev. Prakasam DD, the Bishop of Nellore Diocese had presided over the Holy Eucharist.

The youth with their bag and baggage entered the portals Don Bosco Ongole around 5.00pm on 30th January. 2011. The programme commenced at 6pm and they had camp fire in the night. Next day the youth had four sessions imparting intellectual Knowledge based on topics Word of God, Friendship and Love, Career Guidance and Health and Hygiene. With the well prepared cultural programme staged by the youth, the entire celebration was closed. The participants placed on record the services rendered by the Don Bosco-Ongole for the empowerment and betterment of the young. The event was reported by the few local news papers.
