FIRST NATIONAL RETREAT FOR VDB`S

Chennai, Jun. 2. The First National Retreat in India was held at St. John of God Seminary, Poonamallee from 25th May 2010 to 29th May 2010.

``It was an enriching and enlighting experience,`` summarized Ms. Teresa VDB speaking on the Retreat just concluded.  Nine Volunteers of Don Bosco (VDB) from three Provinces - Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai - made the National Retreat for VDB`s directed by Rev. Fr. Jayapalan SDB, the National Secretary, CCBI Commission for Catechetics.  Despite the heat of Chennai, the atmosphere at St. John of God Seminary lent itself to a fruitful spiritual experience as the VDB`s gathered together at the National level for their retreat first time in the history of Salesian India.
