The inaugural session began at 8.15am at the Provincial House, Okhla, in the august presence of His Lordship Rt. Rev. Franko Mulakkal, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Delhi, members of the Salesian Family and the 40 Chapter delegates.

Yes it is cricket! Don Bosco Daddy Cricket brought together mummies and daddies of Don Bosco Park Circus students for a day-long event, 7 February. Started in 1992 by late Fr K.T. Thomas, then vice-principal, the event in its 18th year brought together some 200 sports lovers and their spouses. The event is uninterruptedly sponsored, for the last 18 years, by P.C. Fourth day of Provincial Chapter of Chennai 2010 began with the Eucharist celebrating the Feast of St. John D` Britto with the theme of the day ``New Challenges- Called to Relaunch.`` Most Rev. Dr. Soundaraju Perianayagam, Bishop of Vellore, presided over the Eucharist. He drove home a point that we Salesians have to divest ourselves of our old ways of dealing with the urgent needs of the youth today. Self emptying, he emphasised, as one sure way of divesting ourselves. Salesians have to be self-emptying as Christ did to become fully available to the young.
