Seminar on Stepping Down to Equality by Participatory Action Research (PAR) group
Hyderabad, 2017 Apr 01 The second annual seminar on Participatory Action Research (PAR) for Transformation of Don Bosco Homes for the Young at Risk in South Asia was held at Don Bosco Provincial House on 27-28 March, 2017. There were presentations from 22 PAR research coordinators. Coming from 16 centres in 9 cities and 6 states of South India, they showed how the participation of children really made a difference. They were now part of the solution to problems that frequently occur in these centres. The centres were slowly but surely being transformed as child-friendly and child-directed. Chennai celebrates International Disability Day with a Short Film Festival
Chennai, 2016 Dec 05 The Province of Chennai celebrated the International Disability Day, 3rd December, with a grand Short Film Festival dedicated to people with disabilities. The festival named ''Thiran'' (ability) 2016 saw 163 entries of which 25 ''best films'' were shortlisted by the jury for screening and 15 were selected for awards under various categories. Over 1000 participants, including 700 persons with disabilities, took part in the event held at Don Bosco Auditorium at Egmore on 27 November.  Read More »
